Good morining.
The great thing about small towns is that I can start my day walking from my office over to town hall to sit in on a meeting with the head of economic development, the head of public works, an engineer and the president of the parish police jury about trying to get a $1 million state capital outlay grant to rebuild a road … which is pretty official, grown-up stuff.
Then, on the way back to my office, I can stop just outside the town hall to have a conversation with a squirrel.
You can’t beat early fall in northeast Louisiana.
