I’m just starting out in relearning yoga after about a 15-year lapse. So at the moment, I have the flexibility of a tree stump. Normally, I work out in the mornings while the cats are busy in some other part of the house. (I have no idea where they go or what they do. We try to respect each other’s privacy.)
This evening I worked out when I got home from work and they saw me do sitting postures for the first time. Apparently, they believe their role as trainers is to provide resistance and support. No matter what direction I stretch in, they immediately go there and try to push me back straight.
I’m assuming the tendency to stand on my lap and press their paws over my lips is a critique of my breathing.
