The Metaphysical Investigations

Welcome to the Metaphysical Detection Agency. My name is Darryl Riser and I am -- as far as I know -- the world's only consulting metaphysical investigator.

What exactly does that mean?

Pretty much anything you want it to mean.

You see, I've spent the vast majority of my life gathering information. A lot of it is useless. Some is downright dangerous. A few scraps of info have managed to change the course of lives. I truly believe that knowledge is power and I'm more than willing to help my clients becomre more powerful -- for a price.

I let the individual client set the price. You pay nothing until the job is done and then you pay what you think my services were worth.

My services range from the trivial to the profound. Whether you want a brief synopsis of Nietzschean philosophy, a summary of The Prince, the name of an obscure actress from movie you half remember from the 1940s, I can provide it. If you have a house that needs to be cleansed of restless spirts or you're being plagued by an extra-planar being that followed you home from an astral vacation, I can handle that as well.

Here are the ground rules:

The initial consultation is free. If all you want is information and I can find it quickly, I'll probably just send it to you on first contact. You decide how much it's worth and if you want more.
You pay for expenses up front. If you want me to travel to Cairo and look at a rock, I'll do it -- but you foot the travel bill whether you like the results of the trip or not.
If there are expenses involved, I'll tell you about them in advance so you can decide whether or not to proceed. You won't get a surprise bill for rare books or bribes to vooduns.
When the job is done, you pay what you feel like paying. If we're both satisfied with the transaction, we'll probably work together again.
