The Adviser's Alcove

The Adviser's Alcove is dedicated to spreading the light. Movies, books and musical works of interest will be added to the page as I encounter them and have time to write reviews. If you would like to see something particular reviewed here, drop me a line.

Music for a New Millenium

One of my greatest loves is New Age music ... also known as ambient electronic or space music. My first introduction to the genre came from hearing Tim Clark's compositions in various ZBS productions.

Since then, I've discovered a world of tonality and rhythm that's beyond belief. With these reviews, I'd like to share some of the gems I've been lucky enough to discover.

ZBS Foundation

I can't say enough good things about Meatball Fulton and the crew at ZBS Foundation. They produce incredible audio dramas that can be taken as pure entertainment or lessons on how to become an adept. Each listener will hear them according to their own understanding.

I'm making a point of calling these works audio dramas, because calling them books on tape would be like calling the Grand Canyon a hole. Moon Over Morocco, for example, spans eight compact disks with a full cast of actors working with custom-designed music and sound effects.

Here are reviews of some of my favorite titles from ZBS.

Rosicrucian Books

Awakened Attitude is a shining example of modern Rosicrucian thought and I'm honored to revew it here. The author, Gary Stewart, is Imperator of the Confraternity of the Rose Cross, Sovereign Grand Master of the British Martinist Order and Knight Commander of the Order of the Militia Crucifera Evangelica.

I've also reviewed several other good Rosicrucian books.

Just for Fun

Just for fun, I've included a review I wrote of Little Evil Things, and Little Evil Things II, a pair of short story collections set to music by Frank Macchia and Tracy London. They may not have a lot of metaphysical content, but I enjoy listening to them.

You'll also find a review of A Farewell To Reason, a book of poetry by Echo. One of my favorite things about writing reviews is discovering gems like this that I otherwise might miss.
